Miramichi River - Salmon Fishing Spring 2000 Over the years I have been playing around with different approaches to this web site. I think now I have found the best form to build and maintain this site for you the users of this site. The site is built with Geeklog and many of the Plugins that can be had for this Content Management System. To the left you will see a flash photo slide show or movie that will change from time to time and is a feature all users can use in their stories. To see the features of the site click Here. Also go to "Site How To's" under "Main Menu" to find useful information on how to do things on the site, this feature will be expanded more as time goes by. I encourage all visitors to register IT IS FREE and the e-mail address is used only to send an initial password. Registered users get to use all the features of the site. A New form of software will be coming to "Lee's Fishing Page" in the near future. It is GLFusion which is an clone of Geeklog. This is a more robust and complete system then Geeklog and much easier to maintain and update. Some time very soon I will be converting over to GLFusion. The authors of the software will be doing a release shortly and I will test it out on my other site, Loon's Echo and then move it over here to "Lee's Fishing Page". This should happen sometime in early November. Please enjoy the site. NOTE: 07/23/08 I want everyone to know how to check for new information on the site. Go To This Link to read how to find out what is new on the site. Check it Out NOTE: 04/15/08 I have added a link on the Resource Page to "My Daily Fishing Log" I think this is a very valuable tool you can use for FREE. This was brought to my attention by Greatbay (Dave Gibson). Check It Out. NOTE: I have moved the banner links and Fly Fishing Loop to the resource page.
 
Magalloway Proposal This is a copy of a post by Blake Palmer which he posted on "Fly Fishing in Maine" and "Fly Fishing in New Hampshire" about changing the regs on a portion of the Magalloway River. I have posted the original post of Blake's and added links to the two threads on the other sites.
Didymo - Please READ !!!! Updated 05/29/2008 Didymo is back in the News here in Maine and around the world. Please read this article in the Kennebec Journal and the thread on FlyFishing in Maine. This is a definate treat to our Trout Rivers.
New Forum "Book Reviews"Hi All I have added a new forum to the site for "Book Reviews". This should be for revirews you can make on a book you have read. Try to keep this on topic with reviews of Fishing Books of some sort. Lee
Tying the "Steeler" Egg Fly Neat looking Egg, I never tied one this way. With tthe weight on there I bet it works well for those trout down deep.
Tying the Irish Cormorant by Davie McPhailLooks like a very neat fly. Might work well in still water. I will have to give this a try. |
